Well our first 2 gigs this year have been cancelled due to reasons beyond our control. Might have one happen at Ardmore’s Drag Strip in Springer on May 30th. Happy day.
I have to give my partner in crime, Jeff Roberts, huge thanks for putting this site together. He is the master of disaster and websites.
It is on for the Drag Strip in Springer. May 30th. Go away rain.
Alright…….If you’ve never been to Dillard, OK, now’s the time. We will be supporting the Volunteer Fire Dept. in their Poker Run May 23rd.
…reasons beyond our control WEATHER AGGHHH I need a cigerette…..we’ve got a surprise in store for some of our regulars…lick lips now….all I can say is Drew is a genious… come support the Dillard Fire Dept and the Band… Drag strip baby be there.
I just left the Dillard Fire Dept. after watching an old friend named Drew perform. Now I know Drew from our old 1-800flowers.com and Starlite days. Drew sang then as well, but what I saw today was shocking. I was very impressed by all of them, and singing for our local volunteer fire departments to raise money is a very noble thing. Coming from a family with many volunteer firefighters, it is much appreciated by all of us. The band was great and I look forward to the next time I get to see you play.
The Ardmore dragstrip gig was a resounding sucess, for those who missed it, you missed a really great show and some awesome hot rods, kudos go out to all my fellow band members and to Rick Carrell for having us to the Ardmore Raceway, go check thm out sometime.
The dragstrip was really hot and I’m the only one who ever whines….but I’ll say it “I hate Jeans in the Summer!!”
Ok..bitch session over, if ya’ll missed the dragstrip then you missed probably the best musical performance to hit Springer, America all year!!! Props to my peeps…you guys opened it up . I’m proud to call myself a J-baller!
We are going to be throwing it down Friday, June 19th in Wilson at the old gym park. 7:00 is when the fireworks explode!
We are picking up momentum this summer as our last three performances were earth shaking. We are going to be blowing the roofs off July 25th at the Pinehurst Block Party in Ardmore. Our sights are set on getting booked at the Lake Murray Marina. They haven’t a clue what they’re missing.
Just wish we could play everything we’ve been asked to. We’ve surely missed some good time. Thanks to everyone for their support. Lookin’ forward to making some more noise in the near future.
Are you feeling down? Do the clouds seem to never disappear? Well we can help. Come to the Ardmore Elks Lodge Sat. the 22nd at 8:30 and feel your sorrows melt away. Only $5 cover and a cash bar. If you dont, then it’s your own fault.
Elks Lodge gig was a big success. If you missed it you missed out. Called back for an encore. Cool! The dance floor was jumpin’ and everybody had a good time!!
Had to bail out Mr. John Ball AGAIN this weekend. Dude..call Drew next time. If your embarrassed by this post, then straighten up and show up at a gig.
Everybody, come see JBB at the elks Sept. 19th!!
If you missed the last show at the Elks, then you are in luck. They asked us back!!! It was a huge party last time and is sure to be bigger and better this time around. If you don’t want to loose your street cred. you won’t miss the hottest band in town two times in a roll. BE THERE!!!!!!
The NYE gig was a lot of fun but it was after all my last one. Too much else going on right now. sorry I had to disappear without a trace. Didn’t plan on slipping into the twilight zone without a “goodbye”. Anyway, good luck to you guys.
New Years Eve with the Johnny Ball Band will be a night I will NEVER forget!
You guys are incredible! Love ya!
The New Year’s Eve gig was awesome. Even though I didn’t get to hear too much of it since I was busy working behind the bar, the guys did a great job! I can’t wait for them to play at the lodge again! Love ya guys!
Your favorite bartender!!!!
When will you be playing at the Elk’s lodge again or when & where is your next gig?
I’ll update the “Gigs” Page as soon as we know when and where. Maybe this next time Carrie, you’ll get to order your own drinks.
Order my own drinks??? What a novel idea!
Unfortunately as long as I work at the lodge and there’s a band playing, I’m working. Now if there’s another gig that I can go to…then maybe I’ll have a few, but only if I can buy the band a round!!!!
Hey Justin, it was great to run into you at lunch. I always enjoy talking with you. If you ever want to do lunch, you know where to find me…it will be my treat!!!!
Played at “Stiffy’s” last Saturday. Definitely the most interesting place played yet. Happy Birthday Misty.
I had a fantastic time at my birthday party! I love each and every one of you, thanks for sharing it with me.You guys rocked and I believe good things are headed your way. Stay true to The Johnny Ball Band.
Your biggest fan,
Misty
